The Partheus DCC Programmer ("DccProg") is an easy to use PC-based programmer to supplement your existing DCC system. It allows you to program your locos and accessories from the comfort of your PC. The unit connects to a spare RS232 serial port on your PC, and has quick-connect terminals to connect to either the decoder wires or to a short section of programming track.
DccProg is available either as a ready-built and tested circuit board, or as a component kit for you to build yourself, giving exceptional value for money.
Read the review of DccProg from Railway Modeller Magazine, February 2009.
Included in the box are:
Minimum system requirements:
* If you don't have an external 9-pin serial port on your desktop computer, you can buy an ISA serial card - search for "Startech 16550 ISA Serial Card" in Google shopping. Many USB to serial adapters do not support the required data rate. The compatibility checker program tests this and will show if the adapter is not suitable, but DccProg does not give any warning. We can supply a suitable USB to serial adapter.

The software has been designed to be as easy to use as possible. There are over 600 decoders pre-defined, and images of around 4000 locomotives from the major manufacturers.
To get started, all you have to do is click on "new loco", add the relevant image and decoder and you are ready to read and/or program the decoder.
If you have a decoder and you have forgotten what the manufacturer is, DccProg will discover it for you, and show you a list of matching decoders.
The CV registers in the decoder can be accessed from a table, similar to that typically shown by the manufacturer in the instruction leaflet, or from a set of pages where the information is grouped by function. The speed table can be set up quickly by moving points on a graph, with intermediate points between the two end points being calculated automatically if you want.
If the decoder you are using isn't in the extensive library, then you can readily define the decoder yourself. The relevant standard NMRA-defined CVs can be added with a single mouse click; non-standard ones can also be defined by copying the information from the manufacturer's data sheet.
DccProg can manage multiple decoders fitted to the same locomotive. If the NMRA-defined decoder lock function is implemented by all the fitted decoders, then DccProg will use this mode. Otherwise DccProg will revert to "On Main" programming mode.
DccProg also supports programming accessory decoders.
Look at the images page for screenshots of the software.
